About

Our art is crafting hairstyles that suit our clients' hair needs and lifestyles.

We value consultation, clear and direct communication with our clientele, and flawless execution of the shared vision you discover with your stylist.

We do everything we can to ensure that when our clients walk out the door, they feel cared for, heard, and looking better than ever.

Kantor & Company is the brainchild and longtime dream of founder and master stylist Eileen Kantor. After 15 years in traditional salons, Eileen saw first-hand what works and what doesn't to make a salon successful and clients happy. Rather than discouraging team work by renting chairs to stylists, Eileen has built a staff who take as much time as needed to execute a shared vision with all clients that walk through our doors.

OUR VALUES

Products We Believe In

The team at Kantor & Company believes in compassion, kindness, and authenticity. We leave judgment, impatience, and the gender binary at the door. We celebrate the diversity that makes Boulder such a vibrant community, and we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and beautiful exactly as they are. Every age, identity, texture, and expression is welcome here.

The same thoughtfulness guides the products we choose to use behind the chair and recommend for home. We don't carry products because they're trendy—we partner with brands that share our commitment to exceptional performance, thoughtful ingredients, and long-term hair health.

Formula 18 combines innovative plant-based technology with professional performance, delivering beautiful results while helping strengthen and protect the integrity of the hair. Its modern formulations allow us to create healthy, lasting hair without compromising on quality.

Evo is a cruelty-free professional brand that values honesty, sustainability, and individuality. Their high-performing products are designed to solve real hair challenges with a refreshingly straightforward approach, allowing personality—not marketing—to take center stage.

Zenagen takes a scalp-first approach to hair wellness, because healthy hair begins with a healthy foundation. Their science-driven, plant-based formulations are designed to support healthier, stronger, fuller-looking hair while addressing concerns such as thinning, shedding, and scalp health. Rather than masking symptoms, Zenagen focuses on creating the optimal environment for healthy hair growth over time.

Every product on our shelves has earned its place. Together, these partnerships allow us to care for your hair with intention, support your long-term hair health, and stay true to our belief that beauty should be both effective and responsible.

MEET THE TEAM

    EILEEN "Leen" KANTOR

Founder | Hair Artist | Educator | Lifelong Student

    Beauty begins with seeing.

For more than twenty-five years, I've been studying people through the art of hair. Somewhere along the way, I realized that hair was never really the destination—it was the medium.

What truly fascinates me is perspective.

Every person who sits in my chair has a story, a vision, and a unique way they hope to be seen. My role isn't to create a version of beauty that reflects my tastes. It's to understand who they are, who they aspire to become, and to use my craft to help reveal that person.

That philosophy eventually became the foundation of Kantor & Company.

When I opened the salon in 2017, I wanted to build more than a beautiful space. I wanted to create a culture rooted in curiosity, artistry, and genuine human connection. A place where people felt heard before they were styled, understood before they were advised, and inspired long after they left the chair.

That same philosophy led me to establish Kantor & Company Academy. After years of mentoring newly licensed professionals, I realized that technical skills alone weren't enough to build a meaningful career. Great artists don't simply learn techniques—they learn to observe, to ask thoughtful questions, to understand people, and to remain students for life.

I believe education begins with observation. Technique follows.

Whether I'm studying a new nail service, refining a haircut, exploring painting on the New Jersey shoreline, or mentoring the next generation of professionals, I approach every opportunity with the same mindset:

    Stay curious.
    Stay humble.
    Keep learning.

Because the moment we believe we've mastered our craft is the moment we stop growing.

My hope is that every guest leaves feeling more like themselves than when they arrived, and that every student leaves knowing not only how to create beautiful work, but why it matters.

At the end of the day, I don't simply create hair.

I help people see themselves—and I teach artists to see others.
