OWNER + MASTER STYLIST

Kantor & Company owner and master stylist Eileen Kantor has been working in a salon for as long as she can remember. Literally. Eileen's mother ran a salon out of Eileen’s childhood home. "It was just like the salon in the movie Steel Magnolias - and if you don’t know the movie - go look it up,"  she says. Eileens’ early life experience was that people were always coming in and out of the house to be styled. It was a little community that happened to be in her home. It is a spirit that she brings into her space at K&CO. 

Since 2003, Eileen has developed her skills, studying the art of precision cutting at the esteemed Vidal Sassoon academies in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. In addition to this education she has attended more color classes with both Aveda and Wella. She also worked at two of Boulder's top-rated salons, Pompadours and Twig, before opening Kantor & Company in 2017.

Eileen’s business model focuses on detailed consultations with every client so she can understand their specific hair type, maintenance goals, and desired look. Her philosophy is that while the cut is the foundation from which she builds each client's look, color is the complement. Eileen works with each of her clients to find the haircut and color that will best empower her client's expression of their personal style. She matches color to skin tone and eye color with precision, which helps her achieve the exact result she is after.

In addition to Vidal Sassoon, Aveda, and Wella, Eileen has studied with experts at American Crew, Redken, Schwartzkopf, and Tony and Guy. For more than ten years, she has been an educator, training junior stylists and helping them perfect their craft. She took that excitement for teaching at the secondary level and opened an Apprenticeship style hair styling academy. She is so excited to be offering hairstyling education from the ground up at Kantor & Company Academy.

SALON MANAGER

Jennie joins Kantor & Company after being a longtime client of Eileen’s for over 20 years. Their lives have intertwined as their husbands worked together many years ago introducing Eileen and Jennie to each other. She has owned her own businesses and comes with a vast knowledge of “where the numbers need to be” and how things should run. She also comes with extensive experience in customer service beginning with her family’s resort in northern Minnesota where she grew up.

Jennie manages our salon and takes care of the business behind the scenes while mostly working remote, keeping policies up to date, HR files complete, supporting the marketing social media efforts, and administering payroll, and managing the financials. She also makes herself available to our staff as a person they can entrust. She is integrated into the Kantor & Company Hair Academy supporting Eileen administratively. You will see her visiting with clients and helping on the front desk from time to time as Jennie also loves interacting with our clientele.

Jennie has lived in Boulder for over 25 years and raised her boys here. She’s been a resident since May of 1979 and absolutely loves Colorado. When she is not working, she spends time with her husband and their Westie, Angus, riding their e-bikes, and loves being with her family, especially her grandsons and granddaughter.

Jennie is passionate about helping others become their most genuine self and to help them find their own beauty so they can radiate.

STYLIST

Annika has been in the beauty industry since 2015, graduating with an esthetician certificate from the esthetics program at her high school. A year later she obtained her Colorado esthetician license and began working at facial bars and waxing studios in the Boulder area. She then returned to cosmetology school in 2017 to obtain her cosmetology license.

Since then, Annika has committed herself to continuing her education through the study of myriad styling and dying techniques. The Process of expanding her knowledge and understanding techniques new and old is one of the most appealing things about the industry to Annika. She has explored advanced color, cutting, and extension application techniques with the guidance of leading stylists in these disciplines within the cosmetology industry. Due to her tenacious pursuit of color application techniques, Annika is now able to specialize in corrective color, fashion color, and lived in color for any and all hair types.

Annika has been a featured makeup artist on the cover of Veneno Magazine, as well as the head stylist for music videos, burlesque performances and high profile photography campaigns. Utilizing her accumulated knowledge and experience, she is looking forward to start working with brands she loves to create accessible educational seminars for stylists new and seasoned. Annika’s difficult start in the hair world now fuels her desire to pass on her knowledge in the hope that her way of teaching will help new stylists excel when starting out in the industry.

When Annika is not in the salon or taking education classes, she is usually out going to concerts, eating her way through any town she visits, traveling, and probably visiting some hot springs with her loved ones.

STYLIST

Riley has been with K&CO since 2021, being the first student to graduate from Kantor and Company Academy in 2022. She hit the floor running as soon as she was licensed and has been building her dream clientele ever since.

Riley specializes in blonding services like lived-in/natural blondes. She enjoys gray coverage and has a knack for blending gray so that you can feel comfortable transitioning to full gray at your own pace. Ever since Riley started cutting hair she has loved doing bobs, layered/shaggy cuts, and curly cuts. Her main goal with all of her services is to create the perfect hair for you and your lifestyle. Whether that means you’re never styling it or you curl it everyday, creating an effortless and beautiful cut is her priority. 

Riley has lived in Boulder her whole life, she loves the town and the people who are drawn to it. Although she hasn’t left her home town yet, she is an avid traveler, taking a month in the summer of 2024 to go to Greece. She plans on hitting Europe again this Summer and doing South America in the Winter, so she will probably be asking you for travel advice!

The most important thing for Riley is that her people feel welcomed and comfortable in her chair. She works hard to create a safe space so that everyone can get the hair they truly want. We recommend booking with her before she flies off to her next adventure!

STYLIST

Jared began his career in the hair industry during his junior year at Boulder Technical School. However, it wasn't until his senior year that he started his apprenticeship under the expert guidance of Eileen. Her exceptional teaching has helped him refine his skills and he is now progressing through the ranks with the ambition of one day leading the salon. He is also proud to be entrusted with Eileen's own hair care. Outside of the salon, Jared enjoys spending time outdoors and watching movies. His true passion is in hair color, ranging from creating beautiful blondes to vibrant, vivid hues.

STYLIST

Stella is a passionate hairstylist at Kantor & Company who loves to cut hair and play with color bringing creativity and enthusiasm to every client. Outside the salon, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. With a keen eye for fashion and a love for the outdoors. Stella's journey began at Boulder Technical Center during her junior year of high school. She joined Kantor & Company right before graduating. Stella draws immense inspiration from her mentor, Eileen, whose fiery spirit lights up the salon, making everyone around her better.

STYLIST

Maddie recently earned her hairstylist license after completing her training with Kantor and Company Hair Academy. She holds her bachelors degrees in psychology from CU Boulder, but her passion for hairstyling led her to pursue a career in the beauty industry. Now a licensed stylist, Maddie is excited to bring her creativity and dedication to the salon floor!

A Colorado native, Maddie grew up just 20 minutes outside of Boulder, deeply immersed in its vibrant culture. She appreciates the city's love for the outdoors, relaxed lifestyle, and effortlessly natural aesthetic. With a strong commitment to mastering her craft, Maddie is eager to complete her program and obtain her license by the fall. She looks forward to bringing her skills and creativity to the salon floor.

APPRENTICE STYLIST

Rabita is a rising Apprentice Stylist coming to us from her native country of Nepal. Rabee spent over 17 years doing hair, makeup, threading and henna in Nepal and is now working to obtain her license in the US. She is already taking clients for select services such as hair styling, perms, straightening treatments, keratin smoothing treatments, highlights, balayage, hair cuts, eyebrow threading and henna. Rabee is exited to be on this career path and loves working with all our clients and assisting our owner, Eileen. As she learns English and meets our clients, we have had nothing but gratitude and smiles from our clients that Rabee has worked with. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
